Starts at The Stop’s Green Barn (St. Clair W & Christie), ends at Earlscourt Community Garden
Join us for the first stop on our summer tour as we visit The Stop Community Food Centre—where food, farming, and community come together in the heart of Toronto.
We’ll kick off the day with a guided tour of The Stop’s Green Barn (12:30–1:00 PM), led by Adwoa, exploring the innovative ways this urban hub is connecting people to growing, cooking, and sharing good food.
After a short break and travel time, we’ll reconvene at Earlscourt Garden (2:30–4:30 PM) for a composting-focused workshop and garden tour. Learn about soil health, community growing spaces, and simple, hands-on ways to reduce waste and nourish the land. This intimate session (for 10–15 people) includes a guided garden walk and a fun, hands-on activity—think worm composting, salve-making, or even a garden pizza party, depending on the day!
This stop is all about slowing down, getting your hands dirty, and connecting with community-led food solutions right where they grow.
