The 2026 Canadian Organic Standards have been officially released, marking an important update for organic operators, processors, and stakeholders across the country.
These standards define the requirements for organic production and preparation in Canada, ensuring consistency, credibility, and consumer trust in the organic label. The update includes revisions to both the general principles and management standards, as well as the permitted substances lists used across organic systems.
